Oliver Cabell’s Erving Sneaker Adds Luxury and Leather to an Iconic Silhouette
Instead of launching a new collection of shoes each season, the accessory brand turned luxury footwear connoisseur Oliver Cabell is implementing an exciting “drop of the week” model, releasing new styles in small batches. The first weekly drop is almost upon us. From March 6, you can purchase the Erving, a new cap-toe sneaker and Oliver Cabell’s take on a famous silhouette.
The Erving is based on the iconic 1920’s basketball sneaker or gym boot that launched the cap-toe design that’s since become a staple of sneaker culture. However, the similarity ends there, as the Erving is made of some of the most refined materials available.
The upper is built from exquisite full-grain Tuscan leather and complemented by a supple calfskin lining. The sneakers sit atop Italian 70 Shore rubber outsoles. Completing this modest, yet stunning design is a set of Italian waxed cotton laces. Each pair of Erving sneakers is hand stitched and lasted in Albacete, Spain.
The Oliver Cabell Erving sneaker is available in a white colourway from March 6, while the black variant arrives March 13. A pair of Ervings will cost USD $185. In the meantime, you can see the original Oliver Cabell Rennes Trainer and Low 1 sneakers right here.
