Luxury footwear label Oliver Cabell has launched the sleek Merton sneaker, featuring a sophisticated silhouette that warrants not only a look but also a touch. Crafted with full-grain calfskin leather and possessing an embossed, textured pattern, you can picture how nice these sneakers would feel beneath your fingertips.
The Oliver Cabell Merton is inspired by classic athletic sneakers upgraded by premium materials. Along with the calf-skin upper from Marache, Italy, the moulded footbed, lining and counters are also full-grain leather. The sole is made from rubber, but you better believe it’s Italian rubber. The laces are Italian cotton, and each pair is hand-stitched in Marache. Luxury barely describes these sneakers or anything Oliver Cabell has crafted in the past. Like all of these sneakers.
The Merton is available in limited quantities, in both white and back colourways. They can be purchased for $198 per pair.
Unlike the other high-end labels, Oliver Cabell manages to keep its prices down by selling footwear directly to the public, cutting out the middle man. The results are frequently Italian leather sneakers for around half the cost of the big names.
Be sure to check out the Merton sneakers and more of the label’s luxury footwear including the Tannery Tris collaboration which sees a sneaker equipped with an upper made using pony hair. It needs to be seen to be believed.
