Yeezy NSLTD BT ‘Khaki’: Release Date, Price, Style
Don’t call him Kanye, call him Ye. Say what you will about the rapper turned fashion designer turned rapper again, but the man knows how to sell sneakers and records. Unfortunately, while his list of accomplishments demands the utmost respect, his sneaker catalogue reads similar to his recent records – you’re looking at 6 misses for every 1 hit.
While the Cream/ Triple White Yeezy 350 V2 might be the first sneaker a lot of fans got their hands-on, it’s not the cheapest or the easiest to acquire. In fact, there’s a whole list of Yeezy Boots and shoes that fans might never know existed, or maybe they simply chose to forget about them. What you’re looking at here with the new Yeezy NSLTD BT ‘Khaki’ is another boot in the line of misses for the Yeezy brand.

It’s crazy to think about, but Ye released a Yeezy Boot for almost every season of the Yeezy label. Looking at the secondary market, you’d imagine that people actually bought these boots, but you NEVER see them on the feet of anyone outside of Lil Yatchy, Ye, and maybe Justin Bieber every now and then… so what’s the deal?
Yeezy Boots have traditionally stayed in their own lane, never revolutionised or swerved from the likes of a Duck Boot, Desert Boot, or Hybrid Hiking Boot. They’ve always been fashionable tweaks on an old record, never anything that pushed peoples perception beyond the status quo. While the Yeezy 350, Wave Runner, and even the 380 pushed the boundaries of style to the point they actually became cool, the boot line has never deviated from the traditional.
It seems all that’s about to change with the release of the Yeezy NSLTD BT ‘Khaki’.
The sneaker boot looks like a puffer jacket for your feet and is constructed from two main components, blending a Yeezy Foam Runner with a quilted ‘puffer jacket’ upper that finishes around your shins. Taking clear inspiration from the works of Dingyun Zhang – who recently worked with MONCLER on a series of puffer jackets – the sneaker looks to hybridise the Foam Runner into a shoe you can wear all year round.
Just like the Foam Runner, ease of use is a major factor, and the boot wraps around your shin and fixes together with a velcro strap on the lateral side. We’re not sure if this is Ye’s take on the old faithful Aussie ‘UGG Boot’, but he did express wanting to redesign the famous piece of footwear himself. Only time will tell if the Yeezy NSLTD becomes the new favourite for Friday night hangs at the movies.
