This time last year, Swiss giants TAG Heuer announced a dedicated smart timepiece, labelled as “The Connected Watch.” And it’s made in solid rose gold. TAG Heuer weren’t intending to release this to take over the now discontinued solid-gold Apple watch. But, it was to demonstrate the worldwide brand power it has in the timepiece market, and to target watch connoisseurs. TAG Heuer teamed up with Google and Intel to create a luxury watch with computing intelligence. It runs under an Intel 1.6 Ghz dual core processor, with battery life running for 25 hours through standard use. The face is made of scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a diameter is 46mm, and a thickness of 12.8mm. The strap is light brown calfskin with black rubber lining While it weighs in at 80 grams, where almost half of that is in rose gold. The touch display supports multiple finger recognition. I love my watches, but my wants outweigh my financial status. This is one for the watch enthusiasts with the dollars next to their name. And I have no doubts that some will wrap their wrist with this.
