10 Best Watches of LVMH Watch Week 2022

Welcome to our official round-up of the LVMH Watch Week 2022 festival, an all-digital event that is in its third year of operation. Held from January 24-28, this year’s edition features a unique lineup of presentations from some of the horological world’s biggest names, including Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith. Each maison presented a handful of new and exciting innovations, including new additions to TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer line, Hublot’s Big Bang collection and some brand new Zenith DEFY models.

“For this third edition of LVMH Watch Week we’re proud to once again shine a light on the collective momentum of our four Maisons – Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith – and kick off 2022 with a presentation of their latest creations,” Stéphane Bianchi, chief executive officer of the LVMH Watches & Jewelry Division said. “Our clients and partners will be able to discover innovative updates of iconic models, along with limited editions and exceptional timepieces, all reflecting exceptional craftsmanship and a unique vision of watchmaking. Anchored by the LVMH Group’s core values of creativity and innovation, this event is the first on the calendar of watch industry showcases, coming ahead of Watches and Wonders Geneva, which takes place in spring 2022.
With Bulgari taking centre stage in terms of aesthetic prowess, Zenith holding firm on the refined traditional watchmaking practice and TAG Heuer playing the perfect all-rounder, LVMH Watch Week 2022 didn’t disappoint. Here is a list of the best watches to come out of the event.
Bulgari Octo Roma Blue Carillon Tourbillon
The new Bulgari Octo Roma Blue Carillon Tourbillon is a monster of haute horlogerie, combining a tourbillon, a minute repeater and a chiming repeater (also known as a carillon) all packaged inside brushed and polished platinum. Openworking, combined with exquisite finishing and an eye for the insane makes the Bulgari Octo Roma Blue Carillon Tourbillon a real winner and a stand out for LVMH Watch Week 2022.

TAG Heuer Autavia Chronograph
TAG Heuer has always been intrinsically linked to chronographs and for LVMH Watch Week 2022, the brand has put its eggs firmly in the Autavia basket. Celebrating the line’s 60th anniversary, the new Autavia comes loaded with a flyback chronograph, a first for the iconic range. Those lucky enough to get their hands on the piece will have a choice of dial options including panda, all-black, or blue (GMT). All pieces feature Super-LumiNova indexes and hands. Powering the stunning new piece is the Calibre Autavia Chronometer Flyback Chronograph or Calibre Heuer 02 COSC Flyback, which boasts an 80-hour power reserve.

Bulgari Octo Roma Emerald Grande Sonnerie
The second stand out piece from Bulgari is the immense Octo Roma Emerald Grande Sonnerie. Another chiming piece, this time featuring a minute repeater, the new Octo Roma Emerald Grande Sonnerie is clad in white gold with a diamond and emerald set dial, bezel and case. Just mega, and with a price tag to match.

Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon
Hublot’s Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon features an orange carbon case in a pretty vivid, albeit polarising aesthetic. But the Hublot Big Bang Unico Golf Orange Carbon’s true prowess lies in its ability to keep track of your score over the course of an 18-hole round of golf. Much for much, but pretty innovative nonetheless.

Zenith DEFY Revival A3642
There’s nothing quite like a good dose of nostalgia. For LVMH Watch Week 2022, Zentih dipped into the archive books for the DEFY Revival A3642, a reimagined take on the original 1969 DEFY. Limited to 250 pieces, the ‘Revival’ edit keeps the design language retro, while adding an automatic calibre Elite 670 for power.

Hublot Big Bang Integral Yellow Gold
The Hublot Big Bang Integral Yellow Gold is clad in yellow gold and features a column-wheel chronograph, a semi-openworked dial and a super clean, modern design. We really like this piece, from the crisp finishing to the contemporary stylistic cues and pops of colour, the Hublot Big Bang Integral Yellow Gold is a serious bit of kit.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200
TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer Professional 200 caught my eye as being the stand out piece from the maison. We love its subtle yet distinct look, its 40mm size and its use of a bona fide manufacture automatic movement. Perhaps one of the best automatic entry watches in the world.

Zenith DEFY Skyline
Zenith’s new sub-collection aptly named the Skyline models compliments the already super appealing look of the current models of the DEFY family. It comes with a variety of dial colours and strap options and looks to be a serious contender for one of 2022’s stand out new releases. Zenith is definitely on the up and up!

Zenith DEFY Chroma
Clad in white ceramic and dotted with pops of colour, the Zenith DEFY Chroma walks the walk and talks the talk in more ways than one. With its distinct and colourful aesthetic, the Zenith DEFY Chroma’s visuals are matched only by the movement powering it: the almighty 1/100 of a second automatic high-frequency chronograph. Epic!

Saving the best for last with the Zenith DEFY Extreme Carbon. With its combination of a carbon and titanium case, a black rubber strap, a semi-openworked dial and pops of colour likes the DEFY Chroma, the Zenith DEFY Extreme Carbon is a real show-stopper.
