Casio Blues out its Full Metal 5000 G-Shock

Casio’s G-Shock has been releasing a number of variants lately, and now the Casio Full Metal 5000 G-Shock is adding blue to its lineup. The colours for the watches, which appear on the main body of the watch, are achieved through a process of ion plating, which results in a wide array of possible colours. The metal cases feature hairline and mirror finishes on the bezels, while the band is made of a soft urethane for increased comfort.

Like other G-Shock watches, the Full Metal versions have a shock-resistant structure thanks to the fine resin shock absorbers inside the case. The screw back is also protected by a diamond-like carbon that resists scratching. When things get dark, the Super Illuminator provides plenty of light with full auto, two-second or four-second duration switching and fade in/fade out. The STN-LCD screen offers easy reading even when viewing the watch at an angle.

As for functions, the watch offers five world times and can be programmed to display the day of the week in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, or Russian. The G-Shock also features a smartphone link with a number of capabilities. Through the link, you can use the world time setting for 300 cities. You can also control the watch settings and create auto time settings. The app also allows for reminders and has a phone finder feature. It also displays the battery charge level.

G-Shock continues to impress with its Full Metal lineup and all its options.
