H. Moser & Cie is unsure if its Endeavour Concept Minute Repeater Tourbillon is more Bruce Wayne or Batman, but it is certainly priced to entertain a billionaire.
Unveiled at Baselworld 2019, this $320k limited edition timepiece features a minute repeater that allows the wearer to hear the time with a simple flick of a switch. The innovative design places both the tonal gongs and hammers on the dial side, revealing intricacies usually confined to the case back. By moving these components to the dial side, H. Moser & Cie use the additional interior space for a ‘sound box’ that creates pure acoustic resonance for the chime note.
The complex flying tourbillon is displayed within the round window at 6 o’clock. It floats on an invisible ball-bearing that’s said to achieve impressive accuracy. The hand-wound HMC 903 calibre has a power reserve extending over 90 hours.
H. Moser & Cie’s Endeavour Concept is both sleek and luxurious. The minimalist black lacquered dial resides within an 18k white-gold casing. There are 34 jewels within the mechanism, and a hand-stitched black alligator leather strap complements the watch. The Endeavour Concept is limited to ten examples.
Whether it’s worn in the Batcave, to the Four Seasons, or used as currency to purchase a small island nation, this timepiece is guaranteed to turn heads.
