Huawei Watch GT Series 2 is the latest generation smartwatch from the global tech giant and a powerful wearable that provides both men and women with the means to track those lifestyle and fitness goals. Available in two sizes, the 46mm GT Watch can function continuously for up to two weeks on a single charge, with both the heart-rate monitoring and smartphone notifications enabled while the 42mm options can operate continuously for up to one week in classic mode.
Series 2 improves on the technology within the original best-selling GT Watch and refines the design while taking care of the features one expects from a premium smartwatch: collating location and movement data before, during and following workouts, sleep and stress tracking, music and the aforementioned heart-rate monitoring and smartphone notifications. Huawei says the watch can monitor data from up to 190 sources and features tailored analyses and tracking of 15 sports, ranging from swimming to triathlons.
The Huawei Watch GT Series 2 supports TruSleep – a feature that tracks and diagnoses six common types of sleep issues. TruRelax offers all-day stress monitoring and calming breathing techniques.
GT 2 stands out thanks to an AMOLED HD screen that achieves excellent levels of colour and contrast on a sleek borderless design. The 46mm variant is crafted using an all-in-one 3D glass surface for a wider look and feel, while the 42mm version suits those going for a more elegant style. It’s worth noting that Bluetooth calling is exclusive to the 46mm version.
“The original Huawei Watch GT saw over 2 million global shipments, making it the most popular product Huawei has ever made,” said Larking Huang, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business, Australia. “The exciting features that come with the second generation mean the Watch GT 2 has even more potential to impress.”
“The powerful, practical features, combined with a choice of aesthetics, means the Watch GT Series 2 has everything Aussies could need from their smartwatch.”
