Swiss watchmaker Hublot launched in 1980 and quickly distinguished itself by blending gold and rubber to impeccable effect. With its new 2019 Haute Joaillerie Collection, the legendary brand continues to master the “art of fusion.” This time around, Hublot walks the line between brilliant horology and premium bling, pairing top-shelf mechanics with a full swath of baguette-cut diamonds or gems.
For watch collectors who simply must turn every head in the room, the 2019 Haute Joaillerie Collection is one guaranteed way to do it.
There’s really no wrong place to start when it comes to Hublot’s latest range, as each model basically redefines the entire concept of distinction. From plastic artist Richard Orlinski comes the Classic Fusion Chronograph Orlinski High Jewellery, which sculpts 319 baguette diamonds into a faceted case of white gold. The Big Bang MP-11 High Jewellery, meanwhile, touts 7 series-coupled barrels and showcases its inner workings by way of a three-dimensional case.
Celebrating one of the world’s most iconic complications, the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon High Jewellery displays its tourbillon through an open-worked dial. Then there’s the Classic Fusion Full Pave, which comes in two iterations and sparkles with the glimmer of a thousand brilliant-cut diamonds. Last but far from least are the Big Bang Unico and Big Bang One Click Rainbow, two gem-packed watches that emanate with eye-popping hues. It all must be seen to be believed.
