Hublot is supporting the Socceroos 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign by taking on Aussie football legend Tim Cahill as a new brand ambassador.

Tim Cahill, the still-agile 38-year-old is currently part of the Aussie squad in Russia. He hasn’t taken to the field yet, but as the Socceroos all-time highest goal scorer, coach Bert Van Marwijk will likely give the forward his moment in the spotlight. As a brand ambassador, Cahill joins the likes of football greats Maradona, David Trezeguet, Pelé and Aussie cricket legend Michael Clarke.

In football, timing is crucial. Cahill’s aerial prowess and vision involve being in the right place, at the right time. To this end, Hublot, who is also the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup, has created the Big Bang Referee 2018 smartwatch. This limited-edition timepiece ensures that you won’t miss a football beat. It announces matches 15 minutes before the kick-off, as well as yellow and red cards, player changes and goals.

Wanting a customised watch for the referees, FIFA asked Hublot to conceive a watch to accompany them onto the pitch during the matches. See if you can spot the match referees wearing the Big Bang in Russia.

The Big Bang Referee 2018 smartwatch is available now in Hublot outlets across Australia. As for Cahill and the Socceroos, the team takes on Denmark Thursday 21st June then Peru Wednesday 27th. You can find kick-off times for all Australian timezones right here.
Check it out
Have you subscribed to Man of Many? You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
