Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Réserve de Marche

Classic, timeless, sophisticated; Jaeger-LeCoultre really had to go and one-up themselves with this one. They took one of the stand-outs from the incredibly popular Master Ultra Thin series, the Reserve de Marche, and reworked it’s dial in a stunning brushed azure blue for SIHH 2017. For having a dial that looks like a deep sapphire pool of water, this watch is subtle. It oozes confidence and class. This is a watch for watch geeks and new-to-the-watch-world alike. The movement, in-house calibre 938, will keep the snobs happy, whereas the price of $12,220 will keep the new entrants happy. The elegantly assymetrical dial showcases the 43-hour power reserve, and the date and seconds sub-dials. For having some complications on the dial, it reads very well, and considering the number of things this watch does, its still incredibly thin and has a superb feel on the wrist. The sleek 39mm steel case with alligator strap signals that the wearer knows how to speak volumes without saying a word.
