This Sub $250 Knut Gadd Cult Diver Watch Can Survive the Arctic Depths
This limited edition Knut Gadd Cult Diver is proven in ways that others could only dream. The divers watch is winter tested, having spent 72 hours at a depth of 100 feet sitting at the bottom of the artic lake Rissajaure, located fifty miles north of Sweden. Every available wristwatch is baptised in one of the northern hemisphere’s coldest places with the lake’s coordinates engraved on the caseback.
Having been to a place that most watches and living creatures haven’t, the Knut Gadd Arctic Circle edition is an adventurous watch that features a design of minimalism, functionality and Scandinavian simplicity. All of the above is achieved while retaining a price that could be described as “affordable,” but ‘steal’ or ‘bargain’ are far more suitable descriptors.
Housed within a case made of surgical-grade stainless steel, the Arctic Circle watch comes in at 41mm wide with 45mm to the outside of the crown. The sawtooth rotating bezel is precision cut with a Guilloché dial, with luminous indicators presented in a classic radium style. The watch weighs just 120 grams and can reach depths of 100m or 330 feet, so deeper than the arctic lake.
Inside, the Japanese Miyota Quartz movement keeps the watch running to precision. Over on the caseback, the Arctic Circle watch features a map, a description of its trip to the bottom of the arctic and latitude and longitude for those who want to check it out on Google Maps, or make the difficult trek themselves.
Swedish watchmaker Knut Gadd has crafted stunning watches since 1916. The latest limited-edition Arctic Circle timepiece is being funded on Kickstarter where you can lock-in a watch at about $100 less than the eventual retail price with free shipping to select countries. The Article Circle watch is priced from US $249, which is an incredible price when compared to other dive watches on the market.
Knut Gadd has exceeded their funding goal, meaning it’s no longer a case of if the watch will release, but when. July 2020 we’re told. You can lock-in an Article Circle watch in Deep Black or Deep Marine colours via the link below.
