MeisterSinger is most famous for the single-handed simplicity of its timepieces. Now the German watchmaker has reached out to its followers down under by releasing an extremely limited bronze Australia Edition watch. It follows on from MeisterSinger’s 2017 Sydney watch.
This MeisterSinger Bronze watch is said to create a patina as it’s exposed to the elements so no two watches will be alike. Not that there’s much chance of that happening. Only 25 numbered pieces are available worldwide. Several are still available at a price of $3,300 each.
The Automatic single-hand MeisterSinger has a 43mm bronze case, 38-hour power reserve, an incablock antishock system and the watch is water resistant to 50m. Australia Edition is etched on the face in red, and the grey Fume dial is protected by domed sapphire glass.
On the caseback, you can find an engraved outline of Australia. Together with the vintage brown leather band, this watch is one-of-a-kind. Or, at least, one of twenty five.
MeisterSinger has a relaxed perception of time, hence the single-handed watches. Each watch has a 12-hour dial divided by 144 markers. Each marker represents 5 minutes. The combination of the bold 15, 30 and 45-minute markers and the prominent needle hand make it easy to read time once you’ve adjusted. MeisterSinger knows the pleasant feeling of not being rushed by time, but of shaping it as they please.
The MeisterSinger Bronze Australia Edition watch is available from 8th Avenue Watch Co. online or from its Melbourne and Gold Coast stores.
