Casio’s popular G-Shock MR-G range is expanding with two new 3 Way Time Sync timepieces, capable of receiving radio waves, GPS satellite signals and Bluetooth for the most accurate timekeeping possible. The new models also boast premium materials for the ultimate in luxurious, indestructible construction.
The two Casio watches don’t have stylish names, just model numbers and unfortunately neither roll off the tongue. Joining the hammer tone design is the MRGG2000CB-1A which includes a bezel with a Cobarion finish – a new material from Japan that possesses a beautiful mirrored surface, as well as stronger scratch and allergy resistance.
The other new watch, MRGG2000HB-1A features a black-dragon inspired bezel in deep black, with a Marume-TSUIKI hammer tone finish. Both timepieces boast evolved functionality with city codes and watch modes easily viewed on the right side of the watch face.
Despite their impressive durability, what makes the MR-G watches remarkable is the Solar capabilities. G-SHOCK’s GPS Atomic Solar Hybrid technology can accurately measure time and location from anywhere on earth and also increases battery life.
Both models come equipped with the standard, yet impressive G-SHOCK technology including shock resistance, 200M water resistance and a high-brightness LED light. World Time display with 39 cities + UTC, daily alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, date display and a full auto calendar round out the list of features.
Housed within a 49.9mm black titanium case, the hands are protected by non-reflective sapphire crystal glass and complemented by a bracelet highlighting the premium construction.
Additionally, by utilising the new G-SHOCK MR-G Connected smartphone app, users can easily set world time as well as enhance the reliability of the timepiece through monitoring the watch’s key functions such as self-adjustment, solar charging, and more.
The two new watches will be available this November, the MRGG2000CB-1A for $3,700 and the MRGG2000HB-1A for $5,000.
