Officine Panerai Goes Back to Its Roots with Two New Radiomir Watches

Bringing its own historic past back to life in modern style, Panerai has just unleashed two new Radiomir models–the Radiomir Logo (PAM00753) and Radiomir Black Seal Logo (PAM00754). Both pay direct tribute to the brand’s original Radiomir watches, which were designed exclusively for the frogman commandos, an elite submarine unit in the Royal Italian Navy. Like their horological ancestors, both watches host circular black dials, luminous details, and 45mm polished steel cushion cases with slender wire loop strap attachments. Naturally, that’s all joined by the latest and greatest mechanics. As a result, you get the best of two illustrious worlds in one quality piece.

Perfectly visible in all lighting conditions, the Radiomir Logo and the Radiomir Black Seal Logo watches are living proof that some designs and functions simply never go out of style. Featured on both dials is an iconic OP logo at six o’clock, with twin arrows pointing upward and downward (toward sky and sea). Exclusive to the Radiomir Black Seal Logo watch is a small second counter at 9 o’clock. Meanwhile, each watch is powered by Panerai’s own hand-wound P.6000 movement, which hosts a three-day power reserve.

Affixed to the steel cushion case on each watch is a premium strap of quality leather with contrasting beige stitching and a trapezoid steel buckle. Put it all together and you get prime vintage design along with steadfast, contemporary mechanics. Those are two things no watch lover will ever argue with…at least not when executed properly. And Panerai most definitely executed these watches properly.
