As lovers of haute horlogerie, we’re delighted to announce that luxury Italian watchmaker Panerai has opened their first Australian store in Melbourne’s CBD. Located on Collins Street, the lavish hub is in very good company, whereas the street itself has become a high end hot spot in recent years. Suffice to say, Panerai’s boutique blends in beautifully with its surroundings. Here’s hoping more pop up in its wake.
Designed by architect Patricia Urquiola, the Panerai store covers 60 square metres and makes great use of open space. Inside is a commodious chamber draped in elegant shades of tan and brown. Everything from the use of wood and steel to the cosy furniture to the watch displays simply emanates with sophistication. Also featured is a massive Panerai clock on the wall, fashioned after the brand’s iconic dial.
Let’s not forget the best part: the watches themselves. Indeed, Panerai has duly earned its first class reputation by way of stunning designs and the best in Swiss mechanics. To see their latest collection in person, visit the store at 360 Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD.
