Luxury Swiss watchmaker Panerai is known for their dive watches. They just released a special limited-edition watch that is limited to just 100 pieces. This special Panerai Luminor Submersible Automatic Acciaio watch features Panerai’s distinctive design along with high-tech features.
This professional diver’s watch stays faithful to the company’s recognisable elegant, bold design. It features a brushed steel 44mm case with a striking blue dial and offers water resistance up to 300 metres or 30 bar. This 44mm Limited Edition is a C.O.S.C.-certified chronograph. It is powered by the exclusive automatic OP XXX calibre. With a movement that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this watch has 50 plus hours of power reserve. A unidirectional rotating bezel calculates the time of immersion and decompression stops.
Similar to most high-quality dive watches, the legibility on the Acciaio is exceptional even in low light conditions. The indices, numerals and hands are coated in a bright green Super-LumiNova. Functions include date, seconds, minutes and hours as well as immersion time.
One of the most notable things about this watch is not its features but rather how it is being sold. The watch industry typically does things the old-fashioned way. Most custom watches are sold only in boutique stores. Panerai has mixed things up a bit by making this watch an online exclusive. It is only available through Panerai’s e-boutique. These watches are going quickly. Already more than seventy of the 100 pieces have sold.
