The Patrimony Collection from Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin remains synonymous with the utmost tier of sophisticated mechanics and modern day elegance. Continuing the trend are three stellar new models, each of which puts a stunning metal dial of midnight blue within a case of pink gold. Available in either a manual winding, self-winding, or retrograde day-date incarnation, Vacheron Constantin’s latest is a dress watch lover’s dream come true. Of course, you knew that as soon as you saw the word Patrimony.
The most affordable among the new entries is the Patrimony Manual-Winding. Powered by Caliber 1400, the watch hosts a 40mm case and solid caseback. Sealing the deal is an alligator Mississippiensis strap in dark blue. In the middle of the pack is the Patrimony Self-Winding. Touting a thicker case, it swaps out the solid caseback for a transparent one and puts Caliber 2450 Q6 under the skin.
At the top of the line is the Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date. Featuring a 42.5mm case of pink gold, it hosts more complexity and detail on the midnight blue dial. Visible through the sapphire glass on the transparent caseback is Caliber 2460 R31R7/2 automatic movement, which delivers a range of indications and a power reserve of about 40 hours. If only the most head-turning of dress watches will suffice, accept nothing less.
