Limited Edition Reverie Diver Won’t Break the Bank
Rising watchmaker Reverie has unveiled an elegant new diver’s watch that stands up to the rigours of underwater exploration while remaining a fraction of the usual cost.
For around $335 USD or $485 AUD, you can lock-in a masculine Reverie Diver in your choice of colour. This dive watch possesses a 40mm stainless steel case with a unidirectional rotating bezel. The Double-layer dial features Reverie’s signature guilloché effect that displays different colour tones depending on the light. Blue Super LumiNova is applied to the hands while green is on the hour markers, making the time and indices visible at depths.
The Japanese automatic Miyota movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours. Its rotor is engraved with a ‘Seigaiha’ pattern as a tribute to the movement’s Japanese roots and the watch’s aquatic theme. Divers will appreciate that the screw-down crown improves water resistance making this timepiece water-resistant to a depth of 200 metres.
Reverie Diver is fitted with a brushed stainless steel bracelet tapered for comfort. It can be easily removed without tools to swap out for the additional rubber strap that accompanies every watch.
A sophisticated diver’s watch resistant to a depth of 200 metres with renowned Japanese movement for under $500. It does sound great. The only catch is this watch is a limited edition. Each example is engraved with its unique number on the caseback. Like all other Reverie collections, these watches are not reproduced once sold out.
To top it off, each watch comes with a leather travel roll that holds up to four watches. That number is not a coincidence. This is Reverie’s fourth watch collection, and there are four Divers watch variations available: navy blue, moss green, warm grey and burgundy.
Established in 2014, Reverie is an independent watch company based in Singapore, creating limited edition timepieces with stunning ornate guilloché dials. The name Reverie stems from their dream of creating mechanical watches which stand the test of time. The Reverie Diver is available with limited stock.
