So, why do kids get to have all the fun? Case in point, Toddler Target has come out with a new potty training resource, the Toddler Target Bullseye Nightlight. The light mounts to the underside of your toilet’s lid and, when the lid is up, projects a target down into the bowl. The idea, of course, is to help little kids perfect their aim when going number 1. The target activates via a motion sensor, so when the lid is lifted, it will turn on. It works well to promote independent toilet training for boys and has a record of success with special needs and autism spectrum children as well. The target also doubles as a nightlight for the bathroom. Parents will appreciate this target if for no other reason than that it will help prevent messes on the toilet seat while aiming skills are still being honed.
But let’s be honest here, while Mom will be grateful for a cleaner seat, Dad will be just as tempted to use the target for himself as will any little boys. Fortunately, the company recognizes this: “No mess, no stress, easy and fun for all ages!” There you have it, right there. If ever there was a toy that needed to be labelled as being for all ages, it’s this one. Besides, who couldn’t benefit from a little target practice?
