And Now for Something Completely Different… Sakurao Japanese Dry Gin

In early 2018, Japan was graced with a new distillery. Sakurao opened in Hiroshima, funded by the Togouchi Brand, the company behind this new innovation.

While eventually this distillery will release Japanese whiskey, for now, they’ve started with gin – and thank God for that, because it seems like it will be something incredible. The Sakurao Orginal Gin is made from 9 carefully selected botanicals from Hiroshima, with a heavy base of citrus fruits, allowing the gin to have enough flavor, but not compromising on composition.

You can currently pre-order two blends on the Denkata site, the Dry Gin Original, as described above, or the Dry Gin Limited, which instead of 9 botanicals, has 17 – some of which include oyster shells, wasabi, and Hinoki.

Both blends of gin have a Japanese origin, come is 70cl bottles, and are 47% alcohol. The Japanese release date is in the middle of march, so shipping should commence shortly after that. Don’t miss out!
