We all know and love their Gin, but now Archie Rose Distilling Co is making a foray into the aged whisky scene. Set to release on the 27th of June is the scarce limited edition Chocolate Rye Malt Whisky followed by the release of its first core range Rye Malt Whisky from 1 August.
Five years ago, in a distillery in the heart of Sydney Archie Rose began making whisky, gin, vodka and rum. Patience has been a virtue and Archie Rose are about to have their dues paid. With their first release of an aged whisky, you can expect the high standard set by their now extensive range of drops.
The limited edition Chocolate Rye Malt Whisky has been aged in a single batch of eight Australian Apera casks. Reserved for only the rarest and most interesting releases, the Chocolate Rye Malt Whisky uses choc rye, rye malt and barley malt to yield flavors of caraway, mint, shortbread, violets, hot chocolate and fruit jams.
With only 1,148 bottles available, you’ll wanna be super quick to get your hand on these suckers. If you do miss out, don’t fret. Come August 1st Archie Rose will release batch one of its Rye Malt Whisky as the first of its core range whiskies.
