A $3.2 Million Brewery is Coming to Sydney

Combining an already thriving tech and innovation hub with a slew of new eateries and retail options, the South Eveleigh precinct in Sydney has become one of the city’s buzziest areas. Jumping on the bandwagon, BrewDog and Australian Venue Co. (AVC) have recently announced a new $3.2 million brewery set to open in the suburb later this year. Adding to the excitement for Sydney-based beer lovers, the partners also unveiled the historic site destined to host its patrons.

The new 30 Best Breweries in Sydney site will be located within the old locomotive workshop of the historic South Eveleigh destination and is slated to open later this year, making it the second BrewDog bar in Australia as part of the partnership between BrewDog and AVC.

The new venue will be able to accommodate 720 patrons inside and 190 outside, across a large indoor dining space, bar and beer garden. BrewDog South Eveleigh will offer 40 brews on tap, including a lineup of BrewDog draught beers alongside guest beer tap takeovers and collaborations with local breweries.

BrewDog South Eveleigh’s food menu will be 50% plant-based, with an extensive range of vegan and vegetarian options alongside BrewDog’s legendary burgers, wings and pizzas. The beverage menu will include non-alcoholic options, spirits, wines, cocktails and ciders, making it the perfect spot for group catch-ups and social gatherings.

The venue, designed by Studio Y architects, will pay homage to the rich history of the iconic Locomotive Workshop that the venue calls home. Studio Y has respectfully designed the BrewDog bar around the original workshop machinery collection on display in the space to create an immersive and unique experience for customers. Australian Venue Co. NSW State Manager Evan Gargaro said the new venues will showcase the best of BrewDog and will be the perfect gathering spot for Sydneysiders.

“We’re so excited to bring ‘The Dog’ to Sydney!,” Gargaro said. “The space is truly incredible, we’re thrilled to be part of the next chapter of the historic South Eveleigh precinct. The huge beer garden is going to be a hit, we can’t wait to open this venue just in time for the Sydney summer.”

The new South Eveleigh brewery marks the fourth BrewDog site to open in Australia and the second venue under the partnership with Australian Venue Co. following the announcement of BrewDog Pentridge in Melbourne in June.
