To celebrate Roger Federer’s 20th anniversary as a record-breaking tennis champion, the French winery and luxury goods company is honoring Federer with an exclusive collection of Grand Vintage magnum bottles of champagne.
Moet & Chandon has sponsored Federer for the past six years, but their involvement with the tennis great goes beyond that. In conjunction with the announcement of the limited edition bottles, Moet & Chandon also announced that all the profits from the sale will go to the Roger Federer Foundation. The foundation works to support educational projects in southern Africa and Switzerland. In Africa, the goal is to improve the quality of earl and basic education, while in Switzerland the foundation works to promote extra-curricular activities for children affected by poverty.
The Moet Grand Vintage Collection was first distilled in 1998—fitting for a 20th anniversary edition. Each bottle has Federer’s personal message of “Dreams do come true” hot stamped in gold on the inside of very bottle’s tie. The collection if made to order through Moet Hennessy’s boutique on July 1. Only 20 of the 1.5 liter bottles will be made, with each selling for $24,000.
