When it comes to whisky, there are few names more recognisable than Chivas Regal. With myriad expressions of high-quality and highly celebrated blended scotch on offer, consistently, for over 100 years, Chivas Regal is credited with creating the very idea of a “premium” whisky, and still thrives in a heavily saturated marketplace.
Given this success, the logic than an extra member of the Chivas family in the lineup can’t hurt is a solid one, and with this, the company has introduced Chivas XV.
Swapping out the usual Arabic numerals for Roman ones, XV is the middle sibling between the sensible 12 Year Old and the refined 18 Year Old. More salubrious than its brethren, Chivas XV is a smooth and fruity blend designed to take the night up a notch: the company have even made the suggested serve a shot.
“At Chivas we believe that blended is better – in life and in Scotch”, says Sandy Hyslop, Director of Blending at Chivas.
“Chivas XV is a whisky that successfully combines the Chivas tradition and passion for blending with a modern thirst for shared experiences. Whether you’re an aficionado or a beginner, forget what you know about whisky – Chivas XV is challenging conventions as the ultimate drink to enjoy on an evening out. Now that’s worthy of celebrating.”
Finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks, XV is a class-act of balance and poise, with a soft, fresh palate that moves from red fruits on the nose through to a rich, stonefruit-driven mid-palate, and a long, smooth finish.
Eric Thomson, Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Australia, added “We’re excited to unleash Chivas XV, tapping into high-energy celebrations, encouraging Scotch whisky fans to enjoy their favourite spirit in a whole new way.”
Chivas XV is available in store now with a RRP of AUD$90
