Soft drink juggernaut Coca-Cola has announced the impending release of its very own energy drink aptly named Coca-Cola Energy. The drink is said to maintain the trademark cola taste along with an extra-boost thanks to the added caffeine and guarana. It’s available in Australia from June 26 in 250ml cans in both regular and sugar-free variants.
Speaking about the new product, Lucie Austin, Coca-Cola Australia’s Marketing Director says Coca-Cola Energy is the latest example of the company offering people a wider range of drinks for different lifestyles and occasions.
“It is an exciting product to be introducing to Australians, and we think it will appeal to busy people on-the-go who are looking for an extra energy kick with a great Coca-Cola taste.”
To celebrate the launch of its new drink, Coca-Cola partnered with ‘Free Dance Party’ founder Christie Aucamp-Schutte to help her host the biggest free street party yet. The event energised hundreds of Sydneysiders last week who joined in on the impromptu dance-fest in Circular Quay.
“It’s great to have Coca-Cola’s support in helping me get more people dancing in the street,” said Christie. “It was the biggest Free Dance Party yet so hopefully this brings people new energy to make Sydney dance again.”
Coca-Cola Energy will be available in distinctive 250ml cans across Australia from June 26.
