Get Tropical With Zaya Rum Cocktails

It’s the middle of the work week and you’ve used up all your vacation days. What do you do? What. Do. You. Do. In our opinion, you go home and mix yourself a tasty cocktail, tropical style. For that, Zaya Rum has you covered. Made in Trinidad using a blend of 12 aged rums, the dark spirit packs a sweet punch on its own, and therefore makes for one heck of a tasty ingredient. Should you sip it neat, you’ll find dense flavours of vanilla, caramel, coffee, sugar, and spice. Of course, you’re not taking a true vacation at home unless you’re making a tropical beverage. Consider the following three recipes next time you want to want to suck paradise through a straw:

Zaya Rum Cocktails

Berry Delicious Daiquiri

Recipe

2 oz Zaya Rum

1 oz lime juice

½ oz simple syrup

½ cup mixed fresh berries

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
  1. Shake hard to chill and combine ingredients
  1. Fine strain into a coupe glass
  1. Garnish & Enjoy!

 

Zaya Rum Cocktails

Zayan Tiki Time

Recipe

2 oz Zaya Rum

1 oz lime juice

1 oz pineapple juice

2-3 dashes of orange bitters

½ oz grenadine

Method

  1. Combine Zaya Rum, lime juice, pineapple juice and orange bitters in a cocktail shaker with ice
  1. Shake hard to chill and combine ingredients
  1. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice
  1. Float grenadine on top
  1. Garnish & Enjoy!

Rum Old Pal

Recipe:

1 oz Zaya Rum

1 oz Campari

1 oz white vermouth

Method:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
  1. Stir for around 30 seconds to chill and combine ingredients
  1. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice
  1. Garnish & Enjoy!
