Live music fans can feast better than expected over the Splendour in the Grass weekend as Sydney’s iconic Icebergs restaurant is hosting premium three-course dining experiences from an on-site pop-up.
Each 100 seat session offers a curated selection of food and drinks from a menu by Icebergs’ Executive Chef Monty Koludrovic. Working the kitchen will be the highly-regarded team from Three Blue Ducks while the festival’s live music takes care of the playlist.
The three-course menu features a plethora of gourmet Italian dishes including nodini di mozzarella, a decadent Yarra Valley caviar croquante, grilled pickled octopus, Randall Family Koshi risotto with saffron, Koji grilled lamb neck and twice cooked free-range chicken with ginger sauce to name a few.
Sides include a pea, herb and almond salad, and for dessert, candied macadamia and chocolate tiramisu. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
Guests will be greeted with a Smirnoff Infusions welcome drink on arrival – the brand’s latest premium spirit infused with natural fruit and botanical extracts. Available for purchase will be Red Bull Organics soft drinks and a selection of beers from Hoegaarden. The flavour characters of this wheat beer are said to pair with many of the dishes.
If festivalgoers still haven’t had their music fill come late Sunday night, an Icebergs meal ticket also act as an exclusive invitation to ‘Italo Dining & Disco Club’ between 11pm and 2am.
Tickets for the premium Icebergs dining experience are available from today and are likely to sell out long before the Splendour in the Grass weekend.
