Arnott’s Chocolate Blocks Are Coming

It feels like just last week (it was) that we had the pleasure of reporting on Dairy Farmers’ upcoming collaboration with Arnott’s, making Iced Vovo and Mint Slice flavoured milk a reality for all Australians, a fact celebrated by all.

Now, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Arnott’s latest grand idea: chocolate. Specifically, blocks of chocolate that feature all the goodness of some of their more beloved snacks. Many fans of the iconic Australian biscuit maison are sure to rejoice in this news, which is essentially not that groundbreaking an idea, but also one which seems so obvious it’s hard to believe it’s not already a thing.

If you’re a fan of the gooey Wagon Wheel, ‘sweet and interesting’ Iced VoVo, buttery Scotch Finger or spicy Ginger Nut you’ll soon be able to tuck into your favourite flavour not in biscuit form, but rather in the form of a block of chocolate, filled with bits of your very best bikkie.

There’s even a savoury option, giving Jatz lovers the crunchy, salty option of having their crackers mixed through a slab of delicious dairy milk.

“There’s no denying Aussies’ love of Arnott’s biscuits, or their love of chocolate,” Arnott’s Marketing Manager Pauline Mercier told Australian media this week. “We wanted to combine the two and give people the best of both worlds and a new way to enjoy them.

“Whether it’s the delicious buttery crunch of Scotch Finger, the undeniable Wagon Wheel combination of biscuit, raspberry and marshmallow, the ever-humble coconut and raspberry from Iced VoVo, the sweet and salty combo you get with Jatz, there’s something for everyone.

“We’ve selected a range of flavours that we know Aussies are sure to love,” she concluded. “We are sure there will be plenty of debate about favourite flavours – especially with those Ginger Nut lovers out there.”

Whether this will lead to more flavours in the range down the track (a Monte Carlo chocolate bar would be somewhere close to perfect, says this writer) we are yet to see. What we can reveal is that you won’t have to wait too long to get your hot little hands on some of this biscuity goodness–the range will be available from Coles starting next week.
