I still remember when Messina ice cream was the talk of the town. With joints all over Sydney, locals and visitors alike could not get enough of their delicious frozen treats and goodies. Delivering Messina Gelato Bars to local supermarkets, you’ll no longer need to venture out to one of their many locations to enjoy the benchmark in Australian ice cream. Celebrated for their delicious flavours and quirky collabs, Messina will now occupy shelves in the frozen section with delicious flavours like Choc Hazelnut, Espresso Dulce De Leche and Strawberry Cheesecake!

From 12 October shoppers can lose their minds over these delicious ice creams the same way we did with toilet paper. To help each and every Aussie plan ahead for the drop, Messina wants to make sure you avoid FOMO by developing a nifty public service announcement video. Providing insider supermarket secrets on the tactics used by Aussies to nab their first taste, Messina will have you craving a second.

Expect the freezer aisle to be chockers upon hearing the news. Luckily, Messina will be a mainstay at Coles, Woolies and other independent grocery stores following their collaboration with Drumstick last year. Ready to commit after the short-lived fling, Messina is working alongside some “product development buffs at Peters Ice Cream” to produce three delicious flavours.

  • Choc Hazelnut Gelato Bar: cocoa gelato, layered with chocolate biscuit and Messina-made hazelnut sauce, enrobed in hazelnut choc.
  • Espresso Dulce De Leche Gelato Bar: espresso gelato, biscuit and gooey Messina-made Dulce de Leche centre, enrobed in a milk choc.
  • Strawberry Cheesecake Gelato Bar: lemon-infused gelato, biscuit and strawberry sauce, enrobed in pink choc.

At only ten dollarydoos for a pack of four, sharing is optional. Oh and, if you’re feeling a bit lazy, they’re also available Australia-wide via Couchfood. Happy snacking!
