Samsung shot a Cupid’s arrow into the hearts of gamers everywhere at the CES 2017 with the debuted of their new Notebook Odyssey, the first ever notebook aimed directly at gamers. Available in two models (17.3 inch and 15.6 inch), this portable PC goes big on power, speed, graphics and design to offer gamers the on-the-go experience they’ve been craving.
“The Samsung Notebook Odyssey was designed specifically with gamers in mind and is equipped with exclusive features to offer users one of the best gaming notebooks available on the market,” says YoungGyoo Choi, Senior Vice President of the PC Business Team, Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics. Among those many features is the HexaFlow Vent, a state-of-the-art ventilation system that keeps the device cool under pressure. The HexaFlow Vent also doubles as a compartment where users can upgrade things like memory.
Of course it wouldn’t be a gamer’s notebook if the visuals weren’t top notch. The Odyssey uses a backlight that can go up to 300 nits (on the larger model), a wide view angle display, superb colour contrast and anti-glare surface treatment to deliver pristine graphics and cinematic HDR videos that stay vibrant in the face of various lighting conditions. Under the hood is a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and that means the best in speed and power.
Rounding out the Odyssey’s many charms is effortless portability, curved keycaps and the option to backlight specific keys. The Odyssey is also compatible with mobile devices and other PCs for the latest in peer-to-peer sharing. In summary: if you like your gaming on the go, accept no substitutes.
