Since first debuting back in 2008, Nike’s Hyperdunk has been a basketball all-star. Nike continuously updates the Hyperdunk, adding more innovative features with each new silhouette. You might have caught a glimpse of Nike’s new React Hyperdunk sneakers when Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green wore them during the 2017 NBA Finals. Now, the shoewear company has officially announced these kicks, which they are touting as their greatest basketball sneaker yet.
The new React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknits feature a sleek, minimal aesthetic. This results in a modern look on the classic basketball sneaker. A Flyknit upper is paired with a decoupled socklike collar. This provides a customised fit for natural mobility. The outsole consists of a circular traction pattern, which was designed based on data from Nike’s Sports Research Lab.
This innovative traction pattern was fine-tuned to offer traction exactly where it is needed. This results in a very resilient and supportive base. A shank plate is situated between the core and outsole. This plate helps reduce torque. All of these features result in quicker cuts, better lift off and responsive play on the court.
This shoe is lightweight and responsive making it perfect for sprinting. The lightweight design helps sustain play for longer periods of time. The first colourway will feature a pristine white profile matched with Royal Blue Nike swooshes across the side panels. Nike says that they will release the 2017 React Hyperdunk Flyknit in August. Why not be the first to try Nike’s latest in basketball technology?
