Nike’s Tiempo Legend 7 takes the coveted Flyknit technology to new heights by extending the construction through the heel and mid-foot. Combined with an array of new features, the boot offers enhanced fit and improved traction while remaining 22% lighter than its predecessor.
The Tiempo Legend 7 is built with Flyknit through the midfoot encasing adjustable Flywire cables. Flexible, lofted Flyknit throughout the tongue area helps provide cushioned coverage atop the foot. The Flyknit also helps the boot retain its shape.
Nike is also using the new Tiempo to debut its Fit-Mesh – A floating lining attached to the raised biteline of the boot that prevents overstretching of the soft, seamless leather leveraged throughout the forefoot. The leather is fused with thin foam that provides the touch and control benefits of quilting sans perforation. “There is not a single stitch in the strike zone of this boot. The Tiempo offers pure leather to ball contact.” – Nike Football Designer Vianney de Montgolfier.
But wait, there’s more! The Tiempo Legend 7 also marks the debut of the Nike Hyperstability plate, which is designed for multi-directional movements and helped shave 60 grams off the boot. The plate features a mixture of jagged conical studs, chevrons, and blades. Of course the plate is optional and you can opt for a pair that’s suitable for off field. Completing the new look for Tiempo is a modernised logo on the heel counter.
Nike’s new Tiempo Legend 7 will go on sale July 10th for an RRP $300. The lightweight design and sleek colourway will be hard to resist, even if you don’t play a sport.
