Between its steadfast functionality, brilliant design, and perennial association with the James Bond franchise, the Omega Seamaster Professional Diver 300M has retained a downright fervid following over the past 25 years. Now, the heralded timepiece is back and better than ever, by way of a stunning new collection. Helping with the launch is Mr. James Bond himself, i.e. Daniel Craig, who took his dinner suit for a little swim to promote the watch’s appeal as both a resilient powerhouse and elegant accessory.
Rather than just roll out a slightly tweaked version of the original classic, Omega gave its new Seamaster Diver a range of stellar upgrades. For instance, the case now comes in at 42mm, while the dial hosts an eye-catching wave pattern. Powering the watch is Master Chronometer Calibre 880 movement, which represents an even higher tier of performance than its already dependable predecessor. Available in the collection are no less than 14 unique models, including 6 in stainless steel and 8 in a mix of stainless steel and 18K gold.
Bringing Daniel Craig on board as the face of the Seamaster Diver 300M was a no-brainer for Omega. Furthermore, the idea of sending Craig underwater in a black tie suit was a stroke of genius, as it beautifully captures the watch’s bilateral essence. Look for it to arrive here in Australia in October.
