Chopard’s distinguished and decades-long partnership with the Mille Miglia race continues into 2019, with a stunning new watch to show for it. Officially launched at this year’s Baselworld, the Chopard Mille Miglia 2019 Race Edition serves as an ongoing testament to Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s perennial passion for classic cars. As such, the watch pairs timeless style with a vintage automotive spirit and thoroughly modern mechanics. The result is love at first sight, naturally.
At the heart of the Chopard Mille Miglia 2019 Race Edition is COSC-certified self-winding mechanical chronograph movement. Synonymous with painstaking accuracy, the movement delivers a frequency of 4 Hz and a 48-hour power reserve. It also hosts an impeccably precise stop seconds function, which provides short time measurements within an eighth-of-a-second.
Giving the watch its visual allure is a snailed grey dial with contrasting snailed black subdials and a date window. Surrounding that is a tachymeter scale of 18k rose gold and prime stainless steel. A Cognac-coloured calfskin leather strap with perforations, rubber lining, tone-on-tone stitching, and a polished steel clasp comes in to seal the deal.
The Chopard Mille Miglia 2019 Race Edition is limited to 250 units, with pricing available upon request.
