Leading international whisky brand Glenfiddich, recreated their iconic 1963 Glenfiddich Single Malt. It is said that this iconic whisky is the one that started it all. The original 1963 Glenfiddich Straight Malt was the first ever single malt to be actively promoted internationally, and single handily established the entire single malt category as we know it today. In an era where blended whisky dominated the market and single malt was only available upon request, the release is a celebration of the times of old. As a limited addition to the family run distiller’s collection of whiskies, there are just 6400 bottles being released in Australia. Malt master Brian Kinsman has identically reproduced its iconic fresh and fruity taste by skilfully nosing and tasting the original 1963 sample and following the original recipe from one of Glenfiddich’s 1960’s leather bound ledgers.
