“The immersive land will be a visual spectacle of vibrant colours and architectural ingenuity located within a newly expanded area of the theme park, featuring a groundbreaking ride and interactive areas, to be enjoyed by the whole family,” the press release notes. “Themed shopping and dining will enhance the entire experience.”

Even with the entire Nintendo universe at their disposal, Super Nintendo World aims to pivot around the Mario games and their many iconic characters. Participants can enjoy several rides and experiences, such as real-life Mario Kart and exploring live-action Mario video game courses.

Another Super Nintendo World in Orlando is in the works,  initially scheduled to be the first US-based location before opening delays. There’s also a future location planned at Universal Studios Singapore.
