The Suunto 9 multisport GPS watch is all about battery life, promising 120 hours of use between charges. What’s even better is the intelligent battery management system that saves power when certain features are not in use.
It’s all thanks to Suunto’s unique FusedTrack algorithm that combines GPS and motion sensor data to improve track and distance accuracy while setting the Suunto 9 apart from its rivals.
Launching in Australia on June 26, Suunto 9 is designed and built to meet the demands of professional athletes. This GPS watch is packed with over 80 sport modes and delivers convenient wrist heart rate measurement. Also, you will find GPS route navigation, sunrise/sunset times, a storm alarm and more.
It comes with 3 predefined battery modes – Performance, Endurance and Ultra – delivering from 25 hours to up to 120 hours of recording time with GPS tracking turned on. Additionally, you can create custom battery modes to best suit your needs.
Suunto 9 uses smart reminders to help ensure you have enough battery for your next adventure. Some reminders are pre-emptive, based on, your activity history.
The GPS watch is made from premium materials, with a stainless steel bezel and buttons, sapphire crystal glass, and a robust case, all combed with a soft and durable silicone strap for comfortable wear.
It’s also compatible with the new Suunto app for tracking adventures, long-term trends, daily activity and sleep. Plus the essential smartphone functions like incoming call alerts, messages and notifications.
Suunto 9 retails for AUD $899.99 and will be available in black and white options. If the price is too high, try the Suunto 3 Fitness which goes for $278 – $299.
