Neighborhood has been putting out streetwear for a quite a while now, since 1994 to be exact. The brand is a part of Shinsuke Takiwaza. Considered one of the most influential brands out there in terms of contemporary streetwear, Neighborhood has been creating quality motorcycle apparel that combines with military, workwear, counterculture, Native American, and outdoor themes. And now you can add luggage to their lineup thanks to a collaboration with Globe Trotter.
Globe Trotter has been around since the 1850s and has been the go-to luggage for many travelers, including the Royal Family. This isn’t the first time that Neighborhood has ventured into the realm of luggage—they had previously partnered with Burton for some travel gear. This new partnership, however, promises a new take on luggage with a strong history.
Along the same lines as the partnership between Supreme and Off-White’s Rimowa partnership, Neighborhood is hooking up with luxury luggage maker Globe Trotter. The collaboration features Globe Trotter’s Aero design. The luggage pieces are done up with vulcanized fiberboard and come with a brown wooden top handle and silver closures. Neighborhood’s influence is obvious in the white words printed on the side of the luggage: “NEIGHBORHOOD THE FILTH AND THE FURY (SQUAD) TOKYO EST. 1994 CRAFT WITH PRIDE.” Neighborhood’s logo is also featured prominently.
The cases come in three sizes—the Aero 4 suitcase (55 x 79 x 24cm), the Aero 4 cabin case (39 x 55 x 17.5cm), and the Aero 2 cabin case (39.5 x 57 x 17.5cm). The Aero 4 suitcase and cabin case both come with four wheels, while the Aero 2 cabin case comes with two. The cases are priced at ¥300,240, ¥311,040, and ¥375,840. The luggage is currently listed as sold out, but restocks should be happening soon.
