Pack Your Bags, Webjet is Slinging $15 Flights to Alice Springs and Uluru

Per the official Webjet deals page, the discounted flights to Alice Springs and Uluru will run across all airlines and apply to travel dates between September 2022 and March 2023. That means you can enjoy a Summer holiday basking in the dense heat of the Northern Territory or a Christmas in arguably Australia’s most recognisable hotspot. Better yet, the total travel time is less than you may have thought, with the region located just a three-hour flight from the east and south coast. Renowned for diverse culture and untouched natural history, the heart of The Outback remains a thriving hub for international and domestic tourists the world over. From the stunning Larapinta Trail to the MacDonnell Ranges, the Red Centres is more than meets the eye, and you can now enjoy it on a budget.

Speaking more holistically, the new Webjet deal is a win-win. While cheap flights will certainly catch the attention of itchy-footed travellers, an influx of visitors could be just what Northern Territory tourism operators and hospitality workers have been waiting for. The state was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the latest data from Northern Territory Tourism revealing that visitor numbers have yet to reach their previous highs. Despite a healthy bump as restrictions lifted, holiday visitors to the NT were down 25 per cent on 2020’s figures. With a bit of luck, initiatives like Webjet’s Red Centre deal could kickstart a new era of NT travel and give those operators a much-needed boost.
