Zooper Dooper Vending Machine Appears in Sydney

Summer may be over, but the team behind Australia’s most iconic iced dessert isn’t letting that stop them. Since the 1970s, Zooper Dooper has been a beacon of cool, refreshing hope in our slowly decaying and rapidly warming world, and here in 2020, we need them more than ever.

But fear not Aussies. Someone has gone and done something so gobsmackingly obvious we can’t believe it hasn’t been done before; a Zooper Dooper vending machine.

Spotted outside the Castle Hill train station in Sydney by an eagle-eye commuter, the Zooper Dooper vending machine is absolutely choccas with frozen treats. From raspberry to fairy floss, cola to blackcurrant, all the flavours of the culinary rainbow are in tow, with a healthy dose of nostalgia mixed in.

Better yet, unlike vending machines across the country, the new addition will only set you back a cheeky dollar. Pretty good deal for the commuter in need of a cool-down.

While the new Zooper Dooper vending machine doesn’t actually appear to be a product of Zooper Dooper themselves; rather the creation of either the station or the vending machine company themselves, we certainly aren’t complaining.

There’s no word yet if this genius piece of marketing magic is set to be rolled out across the country, but we can only hope someone picks up the idea and runs with it. If not, it might be time to make your way down to Castle Hill to get your hands on some iced goodies.

Or, you know, just go to Woolies. It’s your call.
