The God of Thunder and his two equally chiselled brothers have sold their Malibu home, netting a cool $1.05 million in the process. The 5,050 sqm California property, which has been owned by Liam, Luke and Chris Hemsworth since 2016 went for a reported USD$4.25 million (AUD$5.47 million) earlier this month.
Situated in a picturesque estate perched high in the hills, the Malibu house features unimpeded views of the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Additionally, the massive outdoor entertaining area offers a perfect spot to unwind and take in the sights. From the open fire-pit to the built-in barbeque, it’s not hard to see why the Aussie stars would make So-Cal the pseudo home for the last five years.
Inside, the homestyle decor is clean-lined and modern-chic, with polished concrete floors juxtaposed with arching glass sliders and warm wood tones. The open plan living style lends itself well to the California heat, while the kitchen boast top of the line equipment, such as Viking, Wolfe and Sub-Zero appliances.
To cater for the big Hemsworth family, the Malibu house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, including a massive main suite with two walk-in closets and Calcutta gold marble finished in the bathroom, Architectural Digest reports. Even better, there’s a superhero-sized sauna just outside the bedroom door, not to mention a 750-bottle refrigerated wine cellar and monster home theatre.
The sale of Liam, Luke and Chris Hemsworth’s Malibu home sees the Aussie superstars return down under for good. Chris and Luke reportedly both reside in Byron Bay, while Liam is mixing his time between California and Australia.
