Last year, Edge of Belgravia became the stuff of Kickstarter legend when it raised over $2 million in funding for its debut collection of Japanese knives, the Kuroi Hana. Now, the brand is back with the Shiroi Hana, a new range of premium, AUS-10 Japanese steel knives. As one might expect, the adjoining Kickstarter campaign is already well past its funding goal. Accordingly, each knife in the collection is an absolute masterpiece to behold. And that's before you've even started using it.

Shiroi Hana translates to "white floral", and each knife in the collection makes good on the name by way of a brilliant floral pattern. On the signature chef's knife, 67 layers of alternating steel protect the core of AUS-10 super steel. Also found within the knife's core is vanadium, a supremely tough metal that's easy to sharpen. Meanwhile, thanks to a hardness grade of 59 Rockwell, and a polished mirrored finish, the knife remains highly resistant to corrosion. It's then no wonder that Michelin-Star Chef Paul Hood and acclaimed sushi chef Yuki Gomi have both thrown their support behind this remarkable collection.

Included in each 6 piece set is the following: 4” paring knife, 6” utility knife, 6” small chef knife, 7.5” large chef knife, 7.5” bread knife, and 7.5” slicing knife. Edge of Belgravia is also offering a stand-alone 7.5" chef knife, as well as a Samurai set, which is directly inspired by traditional Japanese knives. Included in the Samurai set is the Unagi knife, the Nakiri knife, and the Santoku knife. If you're looking to up your kitchen game in premium style, head on over to Kickstarter to get in on the early bird specials.
Check it out

Have you subscribed to Man of Many?
