Finally a Way to Store Your Monocle Books with Lobo Marinho

If you have been following along with us for a while, then it’s likely you are aware of our fondness for Monocle and its travel and lifestyle guide books. Well, the Monocle brand has turned 10 and to celebrate, they partnered with design firm Lobo Marinho to create a one of a kind magazine rack – perfect for displaying your Monocle books.

The magazine rack was designed by André Marinho, the main man behind the Lobo Marinho brand name. Marinho’s primary goal is to redesign objects with a rich legacy and cultural heritage transforming them into contemporary and sophisticated pieces. Marinho originally built the magazine rack for his graduation project, but now it comes back to life with materials sourced locally from Portuguese workshops and assembled by local artisans with lifelong experience.

The magazine rack itself possesses subtle intricacies. Shiny brass tubes bridge the oak and walnut legs providing balance and stability to the main structure. The army green canvas is linked to navy ropes and golden carabiners that were individually finished by the craftsman. The rack is quick to assemble and easy to transport. It’s the perfect piece of furniture to complement your Monocle guide books and magazines. Even if you don’t own any, it would still look great in the home or office.
