Instrumentum is a set of tools that takes the traditional and makes it accessible. Unless your living or your hobby depends on tools, you probably don’t have them in an easy place to get to. Most likely, they’re buried in a junk drawer or stored in a toolbox. Either way, those tools have been stashed away where they are forgotten about until a need arises. Then you have to launch a quest to find them, all for a project that will only take a couple of seconds to complete.

Of course, you also want to make sure that you have the right tool for the job. Usually that job is as simple as tightening or loosening a screw or hammering a nail. But when you go to the hardware store for those tools, you’re confronted with more choices than a starving man at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Instrumentum took the three tools you most commonly need—a hammer, and a Philips and flat-blade screwdrivers—and gave them a modern makeover. Their sleek, black oxide finish almost turns them into showpieces. Make no mistake, though, they are still functional. Instrumentum are made of forged high carbon heat treated steel, so they won’t be breaking on you. One nice addition to their design is the split between upper and lower halves. In the screwdrivers, this is a nice design detail, but for the hammer, the split serves a purpose: lessening vibration.
Check it out

Have you subscribed to Man of Many?
