Japanese potter Katsufumi Baba has been interested in pottery from a young age. After majoring in law, he decided to become a potter, and travelled around Europe for two years to learn from European potters. In 2003, he set up a studio in his hometown of Fukuoka, and has been creating his own works ever since. Katsufumi is interested in creating functional beauty, items that you use over and over for one's entire life. The teapot is hand made from porcelain and has a carved teak handle with a removable lit. The inside strainer sits over the sprout entrance.
