Whilst it seems smartphone cameras have made amateur photographers of us all, most still pale in comparison to the bells and whistles offered by true DSLR cameras. It looks like Motorola have set their focus on bridging the gap with their Moto Mods, a series of clever peripherals that can turn your phone into a movie projector, boombox or super-zoom camera.
The latter of these comes in the form of the Hasselblad True Zoom accessory, which is compatible with the whole Moto Z range and transforms your phone into a photographic powerhouse. It gives you access to 10x optical zoom, xenon flash and RAW shooting format, as well as 1080p Full HD video shooting at 30fps. The mod attaches to the back of your phone via integrated magnets and gives it the appearance of a streamlined DSLR camera.
Hasselblad cameras have been use to capture some of history’s most iconic images, including the Abbey Road album cover and the Moon Landing. It seems appropriate then that the True Zoom may prove to be a giant leap for mobile kind.
