Solo Stove’s Mesa is More Than Just a Handy Tabletop Fire Starter

When Prometheus stole the gods’ fire and brought it down to earth from Olympus, he was probably looking for a good way to keep that ember burning. Unfortunately for him, Solo Stove hadn’t come along yet, but his loss is our gain. The new Solo Stove Mesa Tabletop Fire Pit has arrived to help us enjoy the sweet warmth of a natural fire even more.

Solo Stove has been making stainless steel, smoke-free fire pits for over a decade now, and this latest iteration is a whole new level of innovation. The new Mesa Tabletop Fire Pit is meant exactly for what its name implies—the tabletop. Measuring just 6.8 inches tall and 5.1 inches in diameter, the tiny unit is an easy addition to any table, whether that’s in your backyard, on a balcony, or in the great outdoors.

The Mesa is coated in ceramic, which helps strengthen its ability to resist high heat. The ceramic also means that it comes available in five different colours. Of course, you can also get it in classic stainless steel. It also comes with a stand for those that are concerned about protecting your tabletop. The Mesa is also dual fuel. You can gather your own twigs and sticks or purchase pellets (you’ll need an adapter for the pellets). The fuel is placed on a rack inside the unit.

The Mesa’s 360-degree airflow design, created by using a series of holes that vent the top and bottom of the structure, helps cut down on the smoke and makes ignition fast and simple. Granted, the Mesa won’t give you a big bonfire for you to dance around like a heathen, but it will give you enough of a flame that you can make S’mores and perhaps roast a hot dog. Best of all, because it’s smoke-free, you can enjoy the allure of the flame without getting burning eyes or walking away smelling like a campfire.

And another note on the plus side—you won’t have to travel to Olympus to get the Solo Stove Mesa Tabletop Fire Pit. Instead, just head over to Solo Stove’s website or do a quick search on Amazon. You can find the Mesa for just $79.99.
