Back in the Saddle – The Schindelhauer Ludwig VIII Brooks Edition Bicycle

What would a bicycle be without its trusty saddle? Well, a lot less comfortable for one. In many ways we have British manufacturer Brooks to thank for that smooth ride whereas they’ve been making saddles for 15 decades. In honour of this prestigious legacy, modern bicycle artisans Schindelhauer have teamed up with Brooks to deliver the Ludwig VIII Brooks Edition, a contemporary classic with a name 150 years in the making.

Fans of Schindelhauer will already be familiar with their awesome Ludwig VIII bicycle and its 8-gear Shimano Alfine Hub. In honour of Brooks’ 150th Anniversary, Schindelhauer used the base from the Ludwig VIII and attached a premium Brooks made saddle for some timeless comfort and elegance. This riveted Cambium C15 saddle with matte black finish is made of natural rubber and cotton and secured by a copper seat clamp. For that extra touch the Noirette handlebars are subtly adorned with Brooks Slender Grips and copper rings. Each bike is also numbered and equipped with a special anniversary seat tube decal making it truly one of a kind.
