Handsome Cycles is an up-and-coming bicycle designer that builds bikes that are simple and functional. Their bicycle designs are so creative that they were commissioned to build three custom bikes for the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Online modern furniture retailer Blu Dot is known for their affordable, modern furniture designs. So, what happens when the two Minnesota-based companies collaborate? They develop a retro, minimalistic bicycle that is both functional and stylish.

The Blue Dot X Handsome Bike is the result of a collaboration between the two companies. This stylish single-speed bicycle is somewhat reminiscent of an early 60s Cafe Racer. Anyone that wants simple, cheap transportation to get around the city streets should own one. Outfitted with a matte, powder-coated custom Blue Dot Marine Blue paint, which was chosen specifically to match the Brooks honey-colored B17 saddle perfectly, the Blue Dot X Handsome Bicycle is very good-looking. Other features leather-gripped moustache handlebars, silver platform pedals and coaster brakes.

Blue Dot and Handsome Bikes have teamed up for a good cause. This bike offers customers both good design and a good conscience. The two companies did not want this bicycle to just be about profits, so they plan to donate a hearty Buffalo Bike through the Bicycle Relief Fund for every Blue Dot X Handsome Bike that is sold. The Bicycle Relief fund was established to help mobilise people that are located in rural areas in developing countries. The fund provides needy residents with bikes that they can use to access essential services and goods in nearby communities.
